Flensted Hanging Art

Flensted Hanging Art – Timeless Danish Design Since 1953
Flensted Hanging Art is a distinguished Danish design brand, renowned for its handcrafted mobiles that have embodied Scandinavian artistry and craftsmanship since 1953. Founded by Christian Flensted and developed alongside his wife, Grethe, the brand has built a legacy of aesthetic, timeless designs that create serene and lasting memories for generations.
Each Flensted mobile is meticulously handmade on the island of Funen, Denmark, by skilled local artisans, preserving the same production methods established over 70 years ago. This dedication to tradition ensures that every piece reflects authentic Danish craftsmanship and attention to detail. Local artisans, all living within 55 kilometers of the company’s headquarters, assemble the mobiles with care and precision, reinforcing Flensted’s commitment to sustainability and community.
Under the stewardship of Ole and Aase Flensted from 1982 to 2023, the brand expanded its collection, maintaining the unique design DNA that defines Flensted. Today, the company is proudly led by CEO Jesper Hammer and owned by Christophe Duez, representing the third generation of leadership.
Flensted mobiles are showcased in world-renowned institutions, including The Guggenheim, MoMA, Tate Gallery, and SMK, solidifying the brand’s reputation as a Danish design classic. With a presence in 53 markets, Flensted continues to inspire with its blend of traditional craftsmanship and iconic design.
