Flora is a collection of large vases crafted from white refractory stoneware and decorated using the sgraffito engraving technique. The decoration is hand-drawn directly onto the clay and intentionally asymmetrical, reflecting the wild and chaotic growth of nature it represents.
For these vases, I chose a variety of unique and somewhat unusual plant species as models, evoking the image of wild gardens or untamed landscapes. It’s a sort of botanical and emotional catalog of plants, etched into the clay, capturing the beauty of the biodiversity that still surrounds us.
