Dock & Bay was born in 2015 and since then, we’ve grown up fast (something the founders never did…)
On our mission to make the world a little brighter, we created the ultimate, quick dry beach towel. Since then, our innovative product range has expanded to include hair wraps, home towels, ponchos and even a Kids & Babies’ range.
There’s more, but we’ve only got a small paragraph, you’ll have to search the site to find our entire range of planet-friendly goodness…The story goes that Andy (Head Poncho) and Ben (Towel Wizard of Oz), shared the same struggle of standard towels being too chunky for their backpacks while travelling (poor guys). Following some intense brainstorming – drunkenly pulling down a big red curtain and sticking pieces of white paper to it to create our now-iconic stripes – D&B’s quick dry, compact wonders were born.
Six years and over 100 products later, here we are, and here YOU are, reading about us. Weird how the world works, isn’t it?
Why it is in The Green Circle
The recycling of plastics is crucial for the preservation of the planet and the oceans. The idea of making towels from recycled plastics links the philosophy of environmental protection with the joy of enjoying the sea, thus uniting two aspects of healthy living on the planet in the same gesture. The sustainability of Duck&Bay is therefore not only in the company’s strong mission and the way the products are made, but also in the highly educational message that is intrinsic in each of them.
