We’re revolutionizing Raremood. I won’t reveal too much just yet—because it’s meant to be a surprise—but also because, while most are packing for their summer holidays, we’re gearing up for a season of hard work. And trust me, it will be worth it.

When Raremood began eight years ago, it was a private project for our architecture studio: a curated selection of the rarest and most unusual objects for our interiors. But soon, it blazed a trail that many others followed. Others saw its commercial potential and built large e-commerce platforms for home goods. But they only saw the commerce.

That’s precisely the issue—focusing solely on e-commerce risks overshadowing the original mission.

We’re a bioclimatic architecture firm, and an active sustainability research hub. We teach, publish books, and collaborate with other international research centers—all with one aim: to design homes and spaces that enhance life.

The artisans and brands we feature are just the visible tip of a deep iceberg of craftsmanship. They’re not just makers of beautiful things—they uphold strict standards of quality. Raremood was created to give them visibility and, yes, also to sell—but only as a means to support their growth.

Commerce, however, is not Raremood’s soul—and never will be. At least, not direct commerce. Raremood was always meant to be an observatory of excellence and an international amplifier for those who create with care and meaning.

Then, suddenly (and I say “we” because this is a team effort—no one does anything alone), we had a flash of insight: the perfect business model for Raremood. A structure that—thankfully, and although I suspect others will try to imitate—sets us apart from every competitor. A model that harmonizes our drive to educate and research with our partners’ need to sell and grow sustainably.

I won’t share the full plan just yet, but I can promise this: you’ll love the new direction. It’s more logical, more contemporary, and far more effective in merging the two souls of Raremood. (I know I keep saying “soul” this month…)

More updates to come as the journey unfolds… 😊
