Handmade Porcelain Vase – ‘ARCHITECTURE’ Collection
This exceptional porcelain vase from our ‘ARCHITECTURE’ collection is meticulously handcrafted using the coil technique. The interior is glazed for functionality, while the exterior remains unglazed, showcasing a pattern inspired by the iconic ‘cassettoni’ square niches of the Pantheon in Rome.
The intricate decoration is achieved through the shellac technique, adding texture and depth to the unglazed surface. The vase undergoes two firings in an electric kiln: the first at 950°C (bisque firing) and the second at 1270°C (glaze firing). This high-firing process ensures the porcelain’s exceptional strength, durability, and robustness.
At JHA PORCELAIN, we use only the finest quality porcelain clay, renowned for its strength, hardness, pure whiteness, and delicate translucency. Tiny imperfections and subtle variations in each piece are a testament to the uniqueness and artistry of these handmade creations.
