Be Manet

Ceramic designer Emmanuelle Musset takes a multifaceted approach to objects, blending utility and decoration, design and recycling, with sharp lines and organic shapes. Through a series of collections featuring tableware, vases, and hybrid objects that bridge functionality and sculpture, she explores various combinations of clay and complementary materials such as glass and wood. She creates unique pieces, either as small differentiated series or custom-made. Her formal research revolves around a range of concepts, including interlocking forms, raw clay, precision, randomness, multi-materials, and engraving.

In her studio in Igny, Essonne, designed as an eco-friendly space within her garden, recycling and virtuous cycles between her pieces are core values that fuel her creativity. The artist incorporates these ethical notions of environmental care both in her creations and their packaging. For example, a tap directly connected to a rainwater tank supplies her daily with water for the clay and cleaning processes.
